Next week will be the first Assessment Week for this academic year. Teachers have been revising and preparing the students in class. Please help your child(ren) by making sure that they have a regular routine that includes enough sleep.
下周，将举行本学年第一次学业考察，老师已经完成考前准备，也请您帮助您孩子(们)积极备考,包括充足的睡眠。
A committee has been set up to assist with the preparations for the International Stream Winter Bazaar which will take place on 2 December 2017. The committee is signing up vendors and are looking for the following:
冬季义卖各项筹备活动真紧锣密鼓地进行中，学校也成立了专项小组。义卖活动将在2017年12月2日举行，若您期望加入我们，并成为活动的供应商，请查看如下条件：
- Licensed food and beverage providers including suitable lunch items, popcorn, candyfloss etc.
- 如您具备相应资质，可以申请成为食品供应售卖食品，例如：午餐,爆米花或棉花糖等；
- Businesses selling toys, books, stationary, gifts, appliances, etc
- 你也可以申请成为普通供应商，售卖以下物品：玩具、书籍、生活用品、礼物或电气等；
- Businesses providing a service e.g. face painting, manicure, Christmas decorations including flower arrangements etc.
- 学校也欢迎您组织一些活动，例如绘画、修指甲,圣诞装饰品包括花束等。

Note!!! There is a discount for SUIS PD parents and students who sign up to be vendors. Please sign up on or before Thursday 23 November to secure a table. Electricity can be availble at an extra cost.

I have a quick message and opportunity for your child to pass on to you. We recently discovered about a China-wide English story writing competition. It is hosted by LittleStar CISB – which is a well-known international magazine centered in Beijing and Shanghai. It is open to all schools and students in China. If you are interested, you may view the attached letter for more information. The submission is not until January. It is only electronic submissions, which can be sent to to Littlestar and to our school’s promotion’s manager, Vicky Song (vickys.pd@suis.com.cn), along to your homeroom teacher. If you have any questions about it, please let us know and we will be happy to help.
